illiteracy and lack of education go hand in hand with poverty.
we have a large population of illiterate people who are restricted to the lowest paying jobs available.
only those who have marketable skills can escape this poverty trap.
our aim is to make education and training available for all who wish to achieve a better standard of living.
to this end, programmes such as URP and CEPEP will be transformed from make work programmes to education and training programmes.
participants will be paid while acquiring marketable skills!

important: All must benefit, not just supporters of the ruling party. How do we do this?
  • in "opposition constituencies" the Member of Parliament will be given the responsibility to contribute a list of names which will make up at least 30% of the names for that constituency
  • various NGO's and Religious/Community organizations will also be given an opportunity to supply names. To ensure equity, these groups will be required to register beforehand as a recruitment group.
  • any recruitment group which charges a fee or uses the opportunity for recruitment to solicit votes or seek converts to their religion will be debarred from the programme.
  • CSPTT party groups will also be given the opportunity to supply names, but to a maximum of 20%
  • the government will also be recruiting directly.
